What is IP blocking?
Simply put blocking an IP address from accessing your website. But there is much more we can do, using the information above we can block the IP address or the Net Range, every IP address between them. We currently have 727,296,209 IP address on our database that are blocked, from Tor exit nodes to VPN services like HideMyAss.
Why would you want to block a Net Range?
Sometimes you will see the same visitor using more than 1 IP address, Net Range blocking will stop this from happening.
What happens if I block my Net Range?
Nothing will happen, when you login to Global Site Guard from a new IP address, you are asked if you want to allowlist your IP, if you are using a private IP address then select yes, once you have logged into Global Site Guard, you can remove any blocked IP address if needed to restore your access. The Global Site Guard client portal access is not blocked from clients IP address.
